Miner Fit Club
i attend the University of Texas at El Paso, and they are having a Miner Fit Club! The whole concept if pretty much the same as "Celebrity Fit Club" reality tv show. one of the girls in my aerobics class was telling me about it.
I stopped by to get an application, i have to get a physical and blood work done and i must answer some questions. Here is the Question & Answer part i attatched to the application.
Wish me luck!! i really want to participate in this.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Question & Answer
How would you describe yourself?
o Very determined and reliable. Once I set my mind on something I am determined to finish /achieve my goals. I stick with it till the end, I always live up to my word. However I think my weight has become an issue, I tended to feel very insecure/sluggish before I started to work out this year. I’m a very fun and energetic person, but my recent weight gain has gotten the best of me. I believe I just need to overcome this current situation in my life, that’s why this opportunity sounds like a start!
Why do you want to compete in Miner Fit Club?
o I believe this opportunity will be great for my health, and what better way to do it than a fun competition. This year I’m trying to change my old habits and have set my own personal goals. I’m looking to change for the better. . My mom recently gave birth to my baby brother, this really opened my eyes and made me want to change, and become a healthy person. I want to be here forever and in healthy shape, not only for my baby brother but for my family as well.
If you were to compete in Miner Fit Club what would be your expectations?
o Not so much expectations, but the ability to have someone work with me to achieve my goals will be a tremendous help! Having someone push me that extra step and having high expectations of me will only make me want to strive more. It’s a win win situation, and it’s always better to go through the same challenge with others than alone.
What are your personal goals? How will participating in Miner Fit Club help you achieve these goals?
o Not to discourage myself, I set realistic goals this year. I know I can’t change overnight, and I’m taking small steps to my goal. I want to lose weight, and set healthy eating habit for myself. For my New Year’s resolution, I decided to give up soda!! Something I practically had every day, and become more active in exercising. Participating in the Miner Fit Club will once again as I mentioned above be a TREMENDOUS help for me and help me to pave the path for the new healthy me.

i think it sounds good. wish me luck!!!

at it begins. . .
Ahh!!
As u can see i have dropped 9.4 lbs!
ive been working out for 2 weeks now!
and let me tell you how SORE i was!
i cant even explain!
Im enjoying my workout sessions. I kinda got discouraged when i first walked into the Cardio Aerobics cause it was like 90% skinny girls. But my fat ass when straight to the front so there was no way of my to slack off. . . i did it.
2 gallons of sweat later, i completed the first workout. haha.
As for kickboxing, our instructor has no mercy on us! she is always making sure we are all keeping up. Im enjoying it. I see that i lost 9 lbs, but i dont feel the results yet. i think my clothes are still fitting the same.
I'll just have to wait and see.
